What political commentary? You have to be kidding you are an artist I thought this was an art site.
ReplyDeleteYou make a very good point Tom, as usual. But through out history artists have included politics in their art. Politics and art has been mixed probably since a cave artist first exaggerated the size of the antelope he killed.
ReplyDeleteSo there is nothing unusual about art and politics. In fact people have won academy awards and other art awards for hardly anything more than politics.
With the possible exception of my 9/11 painting. I have not put politics in my art. My view of politics is different from that of many artists, but I follow politics very closely. I think it is important that people realize that artists don't necessarily all hold similar views.
I know that posting political views on what is essentially an art blog is controversial. However, I am quite sure that some of my comments about about art will also be controversial. Controversy is not a good reason to avoid a subject, especially not for artists.
So, I hope you are intrigued and interested enough in the art posts as well as the political post to stay on this blog and to comment on the posts, and come back often, you might learn something, and less likely, you might teach me something, you might have fun too. All views are welcome but please keep it civil and suitable for all ages. Thank You. Tom.
